The Return of the Blogroll
Anthologie + Friends March 26, 2017
I’m just going to start off by saying that this post is a total rip off of Em’s post about bringing back the blogroll. But I thought it was such a good idea that I just had to jump on board!
Back in the day, when I was young and fresh, blogrolls were big. Everyone had lists of the sites that they loved and shared them enthusiastically. It was so cool to see yourself on someone’s blogroll, like being part of a little gang. Also it made it really easy to click through your favourite blogs… you know, the ones that you say “ooooh” and click immediately on when an update pops up on Twitter.
Over time, blogrolls gave way, typically in favour of selling the space in sidebars as advertisement space. Of course posts that share the love still pop up now and then, but aren’t as consistent a presence as a great big links list.
Since I don’t have much going on in the sidebar department, I actually have decided to reinstate my links page.
Some of these blogs are old favourites, some are real life friends, and some are newer finds that I am inspired by. I think they’re all fab and highly recommend checking them out (and checking back on occasion to see what’s changed!).
