Harry Potter Studio Tour!

+ + March 29, 2015

Well before even thinking of moving to England, I dreamt of visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Like basically everyone, I’ve been obsessed with the books and films for my whole life. And one of my longest running crushes is on Emma Watson.

Although I’ve lived here for over a year and a half, I had yet to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour. But, this weekend, my friend Clementine is down south from Glasgow for her last visit before returning home from her year of studying abroad. We are both big Harry Potter fans (again, who isn’t?), and I knew we would have a fabulous time geeking out together over the whole thing.

The experience was… well, overwhelming! In a good way. I kind of babbled to Clem a lot at the beginning. I remember saying “I’m dying” and “I am going to vomit” a lot at first. My hands were in full-anxious mode, hovering near my neck and mouth, which is my characteristic nervous gesture. But, I eventually calmed down and became completely entranced.

Naturally, I brought a camera along, and snapped a whopping 229 photos! I have very kindly narrowed it down to a (still whopping, but) more manageable 25. Yes, this post is image heavy, but I think it is worth it.

If you have a chance to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, do it. I loved every minute!

  • YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW. If I saw this in person I’d probably burst into tears. I went to Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley in Orlando and it was like I was 12 again. Also, I almost fell into the tourist trap of buying their $100 robes. But I mean, I’m walking around in friggen Hogsmeade. *And I’m wearing Muggle clothes*. The horror.

  • Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!! I LOVED THIS POST!! Your pictures are so amazing. I would love to go to the HP studio tour one day. It looks so amazing. I wish you could tell us every little detail!! AHHH! Also, I think you should get a flickr account and just upload every single picture because AWESOME! *jealous*

  • Beautiful photos, I went a couple of years back (and am going back in the summer) and you reminded me of so many things I’d forgotten about. Like the room at the end full of wands.

I’m seriously envious that we didn’t get the big Harry Potter theme park. Why can’t we have one? *sobs* People come to the UK for the studio tour, so I’m pretty sure a theme park would attract a lot of visitors too.

  • Gorgeous photos! You make me want to go back. šŸ™‚

  • Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful photos at Harry Potter studio tour. I am a fan of Harry Potter, so I always dream of being there. I wonder how the butter beer tastes in real life.
